Hiking in the Alps with leaves

If the body be feeble, the mind will not be strong. The sovereign invigorator of the body is exercise, and of all the exercises, walking is the best.

Thomas Jefferson

Since we had such a great time in this area during the winter, we decided to return in order to explore more of the hiking paths. For general information about this part of the southeastern German Alps click here.
Our friends Susan and Elke decided to join us for parts of the trip. On the following pages are short descriptions and pictures from the hikes. Hikes varied in difficulty from easy strolls to strenuous climbs asssisted by steel cables and ladders. Either click on the name of the hike or just browse through all of them by using the 'next' button. You can return to this page by clicking on the 'home' button whereas the 'southrnbelle's home' button will return you to the main page.
