The
monastery San Julian de Samos was founded in the 7th century and is one
of the oldest monasteries in Spain.
We arrived very early and decided not to wait for it to open at 10:00 am. |
|
The
church Santa Maria in Sarria has a pilgrims mural painted along one of
its walls.
|
|
The
Camino begins to have a new marking here for bicyclists, reminded me a
bit of Mickey Mouse on a bicycle
|
Portomarin
is a new town, built in the 60's, when the original city was swallowed
under the lake created by the damming of the Rio Mino. The church San
Nicolas was moved brick by brick and is the center of this new city.
